Bill Euler, Varsity Head Coach
Coach Bill Euler is entering his third season on the Bowie lacrosse staff and his first year as Head Coach. Bill brings over 15 years of coaching experience and is truly committed to giving back to the game we love. As a coach at the youth and high school levels for both boys and girls, he led teams to the Maryland State Lacrosse Semifinals on three different occasions. Bill played defensemen on his high school lacrosse team in Maryland and pursued a football scholarship to East Texas State University. Professionally, Bill is a CPA with a corporate background in accounting technology. He owns two technology companies headquartered in the Washington DC area. Bill is an active member of US Lacrosse and enjoys impacting the high school lacrosse community through player and skill development.
Halsey Diakow, Varsity Assistant Coach
Third year Assistant Coach Halsey Diakow has coached at many different levels. Most recently, she served as the assistant coach for the Israel Women's Team. Halsey first picked up a lacrosse stick in 2nd grade while tagging along with her older sisters. In high school, she was a three-year varsity letterman in soccer and basketball and four-year varsity letterman in lacrosse, captaining all three teams her senior year. After a very successful high school career, Halsey continued her lacrosse career at Cornell University where the team won the first women's lacrosse Ivy League championship in school history and made a NCAA tournament first round appearance. Halsey is still an active lacrosse player with the local post-collegiate ATX Lax team.
Greg Tanis, JV Head Coach
Coach Greg Tanis joins the Bowie staff this year with a distinguished lacrosse pedigree. Greg played collegiate lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University and during his time there, JHU made three NCAA Final Four appearances and held a #1 ranking. Upon graduation, Greg returned to his native state of Michigan to serve as head coach for East Grand Rapids Lacrosse boys team and led them to a state championship. Greg also upgraded their schedule to compete with the top teams in the state. He brings that same competitive spirit to guide Bowie Lacrosse to compete at a high level.
Emma Coghill, SWAG Head Coach and JV Assistant Coach
Emma is very excited to be joining the Bowie Lacrosse program this year. Growing up in Maryland, she started playing lacrosse in elementary school, captained her high school team and played for St. Mary's College in Maryland, where she was a dual sport athlete (Swimming). Emma has coached swimming for over 10 years and is a teacher at Kiker Elementary. She looks forward to sharing her love for the sport and developing the SWAG Program.
Bill Heim, Assistant Coach
Assistant Coach Bill Heim is a longtime lacrosse parent who lends his services to the team to support the players and coaches with anything and everything they need to succeed.
