ABOUT US
The Bowie Women’s Lacrosse Association is a local organization dedicated to empowering and developing young women through a positive and competitive athletic program based at James Bowie High School in Austin, Texas. Our team is composed of student-athletes in grades 9 through 12 and proudly competes in the Central Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League (CTGHSLL).
OUR MISSION
At Bowie Women's Lacrosse our mission is to promote academic and athletic excellence in young women. Through the sport of lacrosse, we strive to build confidence, self-esteem, and leadership by fostering teamwork, discipline, and commitment.
WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
Although lacrosse is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, it is not currently recognized as a UIL sport in Texas. As a result, programs like ours receive no financial support from public schools or school districts.
This means 100% of the expenses—including uniforms, coaches’ salaries, field rentals, referees, lighting, tournament fees, and equipment—must be covered by our association and the families of our players. This creates a significant financial burden and limits access to this valuable opportunity for many student-athletes.
